Utilizing healthy cooking techniques we offer freshly prepared meals, snacks, meal replacement smoothies, elixirs, and more! Offering a variety of the Mediterranean and Whole Food-inspired meal plans for everyone!
Job Details
- Plan and prepare menus according to the customer’s food preferences, dietary needs, and service goals
- Communicate with customers on upcoming menus, menu development, and answer questions they may have regarding their meals (in person, over the phone and/or email)
- Prepare, cook, and package their meals according to company standards and requests by the customer
- Properly package and stage the customer’s order in accordance with company standards
- Wash and sanitize dishes, prep tables, sweep and mop floors, and clean used kitchen equipment daily
- Ensure proper ingredients and supplies are on hand or ordered in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area at all times
- Follow companies PPE procedures and policies
- Ensure that all food and other items are stored properly
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
- Perform routine kitchen tasks
- Follow the prep list created to plan duties
- Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
- Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
- Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other meal prep
- Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes
Job Requirements
- Culinary arts degree (highly preferred)
- Current Food Handlers Certification
- 3+ years of experience as a line cook
- A positive ‘can do’ attitude
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques
- Organizational skills
- Patience
- Strong knife skills
- Communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to stand for 8 hours a day
- Ability to lift 40#
